At the R M. Court this morning, two cases concerning the " Early History of Now Zealand" were heard, and in one judgment was given Against the publishers on the ground that a tender of the work had not been made. In the second the defendant stated that the canvasser •greed to tike the coit out in buggy hire, mid hud failed to do so. Thoro was no proof of this, and judgment was given for the publishers. Mr Geo. F. Clulec, of Timaru, was a passenger per Doric, find being interviewed by three leading ropreseptativos of the Athletic Association, said he had most satisfactory interviews in England with the English Amateur Association ' ' respecting the visit of the New Zealand ' team next year. Ho had a letter from the secretary of the Association, which said that though unable to guarantee the ; expenses of the trip, they promised to j give the visiting team such an introduc- ( tion to athletic clubs as would ensure tlio j payment of expenses out of gate money. 1 He will furnish n complete report, when i a meeting of delegates will be held to con- laider the question. .
