Tim fourteenth annual reporb of thu K<ii,ipoi Woollen Manufacturing Oonrpany, now published, is highly satifai, tory, the losses incurred through the closing of tho Sydney warehouse being fully met, by tho current profits. The profit and loss account showed L11.236 to crdil. L2.872 went towards depreciation, L3,500 tr> tho interim dividend paid lant Murch, and the directors recommend a further dividend of 4£ per cent toSaptembcr 30, making a total of 8 per osnfc for the year. Tho total assets of tho cornpuny are L129,541, and tho paid up capital LiOO.OOO. October 19. At tho R.M. Court this morning, John Hynn was charged with perjury in connection with tho recent smuggling case, and was remanded till Monday next. Bail was allowed, accused in L100 and two sureties in L50. Groat regret was felt here to-dny on tho news of tho death of Mrs Henry Loughnun from pueperal convulsions subsequent to childbirth. She was much respected by all who knew her, and was ono of the most, talented pianists in ChriHtchurch. She was a daughter of Mr John Marshman, who is residing with tho family.
