WELLINGTON. June 25.
New Zealand is not represented at; the Stock Conference in Sydney this year, as the Minister of Luids, in view of the sitting of Pailumont and the reorganisv tion of the Department, could not send delegates. With reference to the proposal for uniform regulations mentioned in the cable, it is intended, if possible, to form a code out of the regulations now existing in the various col. mips, but it is not likely that New Zealand will be able to accept it in its entirety. The U. Loir spoken ot as director of the Stock Institute is the nephew of M. Pasteur who aims out to Australia to conduct the rabbit extermination experiments on behalf of his uncle. The Harbor Board have approved of the proposal to reclaim Oriental Bay for a recreation ground, and will promote a Bill next session to give effect to the decision. ; The business under consideration of the Labor Conference 10-doy was of a private nature. The remains of the Hon. Ctiptain Fraser are to ba buried in Welliugton on Siturday with military honors. The Employers' Conference discussed the Factory Bill all day.
