AUCKLAND.
May 20. At a meeting of the shareholders of the Auckland Tobacco Company the resolution to wind up the company was on6rmed. At the annual meeting of lha shareholders of the New Zjaland Sugar Company the balance-sheet showed a loss of L 3742 03. The aalea were 1110 tons of sugar. The chairman said the result waß encouraging in the face of the disorganised market. Tho company expect to receive tbe first sugars from their Fiji estates iv July. The reports respecting the crops are encouraging. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Sir F. Whitaker waa re-elected a director.
