In some parts of the grazing districts of Kent fluckowners are suffering rather severe losses among their ewes from an obscure disease, which attacks them in a strange manner. The prominent symptoms are Hstlessness aud t an aversion to food, and after a few days the ewe throws herself down and dies. Several animals, which have been found dead under these circumstances, have been opened and examined by veterinary surgeons, who it is stated bave failed to dicover any trace of disease; on the contrary, the enes appear to be perfectly healthy. It is sugge ted the safest plan is to have tbe animals killed ai t-oon as to symptoms are re C ignised. Farmers state that this fatality frequently follows a mild winter.
