Store Cattle- Thero id a fair enquiry for lots suitable for fattening ou turnips. During the week we have placed 120 head mixtd, chiefly bollocks, at » satisfactory price. Stoic Sheen— We have a very good lot ( f ■oond-m<>uih merino wethers on hand, but have no transactions to report;

Sheepskins — At our weekly auction on Monday last we o'eared a good oatalogue. Ihe att-ndance of buyers was large, and competition spirited. P ices realised were at follow b: Country tlry crossbreds, low to medium, Is 2d to 2a 9d ; g-od to full, 3a t( Gi ; rneiino», low to medium, HJ to 3a ; good to full- wool, 33 3d to 4< 9d ; dry pelta, 2d to 7d ; butchers' gretn oro^bred-, 2i 7d to 2s lid ; do do merinos, 2s Sd to 3d Id

Rabbitakins — Consignments as yet are only on a small scale, and although all coming to hand meet with a fair demaud, buyers are operating with caution ; and from preaent appear, iLcea last aeaaon'a prijei are not likely to be reached.

Hides— There U no alteration in values. Tho demand continues good, more especially for hoavy. good-couditioDed paroels. Tallow — We have no imorovement to report in the demand for this article. The local trade continues to absorb all country small lota coming to hand at about last week's quotations, but any good-aized lots are difficult to place except at further reduced rates. Rough fat 1b lower now, ranging from 12s to 14 j Gd per cwt, according to quality,

Dunkdin; June S. Fat Cattle — A very large supply c&me to hand to-day, viz , 278 head, repreienting all qualities, wuh but few really prime. The latter mainUi ed lawt week's prices, but medium was in less demand, and suffered a deoline. Best bullocks brought L 7 10a to LIO 7s 6 ' ; othora, L 5 to J-7 7« 6d ; cows in proportion, Fat Sheep-2n29 were penned, of which about 670 wi re menuns, the hahtuce crossbred, the quality ruling from ordinary Roud t<i piime CompeUin ti was fairly activu, prices roalison being about trie B»me rb l«Bt week. Bent crossbreds brought 13s Gd to JCt Gd ; two f-xtra heavy pens of wethers brought up to 17b ; ordinary to Rood, 10» 6d II 13i? merinnr, 5' Gi to 12b.

Grain. —Wheat — The market during the week has been quiet, hut prime milling ■Bmples could be placed at our qu •tationa of last wetk. There is but very little if this quality iflering, and as maltBterH are farly well supplied business is quiut. A Jar/ju supply of inferior and discolored in in store, for which there ia but a very limited demaud, at from 2i to 2a 61, baga weighed in.
