The market rate haa advanced to and is now 2 per cent below the bank rate.

Colonial breadstuffs — Adelaide wheat unaltered : Adelaide flour, ex stove, has decliued la, and is now 25a; New Zealand wheat, unchanged. The Ptock of tallow ia London is 15,900 casks.

The manager of tlie National Mortgage and Agency company of New Zealand (limited) reports on the local grain market as follows : Shipping wheat, steady, but not in active demand, 3slodto 3s lid. Malting barley has a slightly improved tendency, and is quoted at 4s to 4s Bd. Moderate enquiry for New Zealand feed oata at 2a lOd to 38 j milling sorts, fair demand, 3a to 38 Id. .
