June 1. At the city council, the question of reorgansinst the fire brigade was considered in committee, and it was decided to make the brigade a paid one, and have a superintendent, two hranchmen, and 16 paid members. The council hare yet to affirm this, however.
The suburban Caversh&m licensing committee have fixed on 10 o'clock as the hoar of closing all hotels. The committee of the D. J.C met to \ diecuis the questions of the resignation of the handicappors, but it was deferred till a fuller masting.
