FOOTBALL.

TO THE EDITOK. Siu.' — I no* ice by this nviruinu's piper that tho Oamaru football club intend to Rjnd a team to Dunedin on the 2(kh ius'ant. From what I have seen and heard ihe attendance at practices on Siturdoy afternoons has Veen very poor, and I don't see how the local team without any practice can expect Io play a Duuedin team, which has been playing first-clana matches f<>r the last two or three Sitnrdaya. A few players have been regular in their attendance and have had good practice, but they have not yet practised together as a team, wh'ch ia so eisential. I would suagest that the members meet every evening to practice dribbling, as they did last year b;efore their Dunedin trip. There is no reason why the Oamaru cub should not ' hold their own with any other club, as they have the players, and what is re. quired is practice. Footballers c«nnofc do better than read the " HinL" to players," in the O R.F.U. annual for this year, and act up to them. It is to be hoped that there will be a lnrye muster next Saturday on the old cricket ground, showing that there ii j still some interest taken in the good old game. Forward.

A Gheat Business —The United States of America Is the home of som" very large enterprise, bus none perhaps greater than tho business, conducted by Mr G. G. Green, of Woodbury New Jersey, U.S A. He is the proprietor of the well-known Boschee's German Syrup, which is unequalled as a remedy for Pulmonary and Bronchial affections, He manufactures also Green's August Flower for Dyspepsia and all disorders of the Liver. These preparations are used throughout the civilized world and thou■anda testify to their valuable curative properties. Both these preparations have reached an immense sale solely on their merits. Sample bottles of each are aold at 6d, or full-sized bottles at 3a 6d. All drugolafc* keen them. dr2o

gltts keep them.
