A member of the Bicycle Club is going to attempt a ride to Dunodin, 236 miles, during the holidays. The raoing privilotros were sold to-day. There was not much competition. The total amount realised was Ll7O, several items being passed in At the Supremo Court, Eliza Harris, for infanticide, was acquitted. The Waimate has arrired at London, after a passage of 71 days. The final payments for the Champagne Stakes (8 soys). Epsom Stakes (5 soys), Fret Handioap (3 sots), and Selling Race (3 bovb), are due on Thursday erening at 0 p.m. The Interprovinoial boat raoe between Otago and Canterbury was won by the latter easily by eight lengths. Both crews got away fairly together, but after the first mile Canterbury took the lend, and maintained it to the Buish. The distance was 2$ miles, and the time 12mins. 25secs, The Ot&go men wore greatly fancied in the betting market. Both teams dined together this evening.
