TAS^O is a dark brown with black points, stands 16 hands 2 inches high, with immense bone and muscle, and splendid action. TASSO was bred in Victoria in 1873 by A. E. Clarke, Esq., and was got by Fireworks, dam Lota, by Peter WiTkins, granddam Young Bweet Briar, by Conqueror, great grand-dam, Sweet Briar, by Foiretter out of Bequest by Buffalo, or Bolivar, Conqueror, by Peter Finn, out of Galloper by Trump, grand-dam Remembrancer, by £ir Solomon, great grand-dam, Qneen Mab, by Echpse. Forrester, by Little John (imported), dam, Kangaroo, by Wanderer, out of Merino, by Whalebone. Fireworks, by Kelpie, dam Gaslight, by Sir Heronles, grand-dam, Factory Girl, by Lamplighter. (Vide Stud Book). Peter Wilkins, by Flying Dutchman, out of Boarding School Miss. Fireworks won the A J.C. Champagne Stakes in 1867; in the same year he won the A J.C Derby, also the two V.R.C. Deibys of 1867-68. In 1868 he won the St. Leter and the Launceston Champion Cup, 3 .•niles, in 5 minutes 48 seconds Fireworks was the sire of the following winners, notably : Rose d'Amour, Lapidist, Kobin Hood, Gold-borough and many other ' winners. Glodsborough won the A.J.C. Metropolitan Stakes in 3 minutes 32 second*, carrying 9st 21b. It will therefor© be seen by this pedigree that Tasso possesses some of the best blood that has ever been imported into the Colony. Tasso took first prize at the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show (Canterbury) in the year 1878, at being the best Blood Horse on the ground.
