AUCKLAND. December 10.
The Baglethorne Gold Mining Company have declared a dividend of 2s 6d per share, absorbing L 750. The Mayor gives a ton-guinea cup for competition at the regatta. Rewi is said to be seriously indisposod. The natives are looking forward with interest to the groat native meeting next month, when the land transactions with Ngaterawaka will be roviowod. The Rogutta Committee mot to-night, and decided for a champion schooner race — first prize LlOO, and second prize L3O ; large cutter race— first prize silver cup, value L 35, presented by a member, and Ll5 added ; second prize L2O ; third prize LlO. Two other silver cups will bo presented, for opon boat and yacht races. There is every promise of a successful meeting.
