Mails Close— On and after January 2nd mails will close as under :—: — For Dnnedin, daily, at 6 a.m., 11.30 a.m., and 2.50 p.m. For Port Chalmers and Palmerston, daily, at fi a.m. , and 2.50 p.m. For intermediate offices, daily, at 6 a.m. For Christchurch, daily, at 11.30 a.m. and 3.15 p.m. For Wellington .and Northern Ports, daily, at 3.15 p.m. For Timaru and Wainiate, daily, at 6 a.m. and 3.15 p.m. i For Waitaki and Pukenri, daily, at 6 a.m. For Duntroou, daily, at 6 a.m. and 2.50 p.m. For Papakaio daily, at 2.50 p.m. For Awamoko, on Tuesday and Thursday, at 2. 50 p.m. For Omarama aud Upper Ferry, on Wednesday, at 6 a.m. For Weston, Ngapara, and Enfiold, daily, at 3.15 p.m.

Mails for the Australian Colonies, via Hobart Town, per s.s. Rotorua, will close on Thursday, 9th inst., at 6 a.m.
