Waiharara W.D.F.F,
The Waiharara Branch of the W.D.F.F. held its usual meeting in the hall on November Ist. Apologies were tendered from Mesdames M. Srhoj Jnr. and J. N. Matijevich,
It was a bright, happy meeting • which ended with a social hour. Mrs. ' H. Cox won the knitting competition | and Mrs. K. Ricket the one for sew- j ing. Miss J. Johnson won the lucky number. The next, lucky number is to be brought by Miss N. Heath and there is a competition for a Christmas Gift. Miss N. Heath read the creed and she and Mrs. Samuels were hostesses l [ for the afternoon.
Miss Doreen Douglas leaves Kaitaia tomorrow on transfer to the Bank of Australasia’s Queen Street branch. The transfer was arranged to permit Miss Douglas to continue her musical studies, firstly under Mr Owen Jensen and then with Mr. Stewart Harvev.
