Croquet

Members of the Croquet Club will close their season tomorrow, when progressive play will commence at 1 p.m. It has been a most successful and interesting season, and it is hoped that all members will be present for this last day of the croquet year. Ladies of the club are asked to bring a plate. * Mr. A. G. Ross will arrive in Kaitaia by the afternoon plane on Tuesday, and is prepared to give lessons from 3 p.m. on that day, and all day on Wednesday. The Captain desires all those who wish to have lessons from Mr. Ross to please communicate urgently with

her, when times for such will be arranged. ☆ Prize Winners for Season After play on closing day next Saturday, trophies won as under during the season will bt presented by the President • A Grade champion—Mrs. G. Molloy. B Grade Champion—Mrs. D. Hanlon. v C Grade Champion—Mrs. R. Cox. Hollay Memorial Trophy—Mrs. R. Cox ; Mrs. A. Stanton runner-up. Tournament I—Mrs. H. Freeman and Mrs. R, Cox ; Tournament 2 Mrs. R. Beazley and Mrs. R. Cox ; Tournament 3 Mrs. J. Steen and Mrs. R. Marevich ; Easter Tournament —Mrs. A. W. Bird and Mrs. R. Marevich. Runners-up Trophy donated by Mrs. E. Wilkinson—Mrs. J. Steen and Mrs. S. Osbaldiston.
