Another Collision on Church Road
SCHOOL BI S AND CREAM LORRY Demonstrating the urgent need for the widening of Church Road at the top end, was an accident that occurred yesterday morning at about 9 a.m. This was the second of its kind that has taken place within the last two months, and parents feel that the County should do something at this point and thus alleviate the anxiety attended by sending their children to school by school-bus. A loaded school-bus from Lake Ohia and Kaingaroa proceeding down Church Road towards Kaitaia, met a laden cream truck at a point where it is almost impossible for two vehicles to pass. There was a collision which put the bus out of commission, necessitating another bus being sent to do the work. Fortunately there were no casualties among the children, neither were either of the drivers injured. VITAL STATISTICS Following are the vital statistics supplied by the Registrar, Mr. R.
