Peria News

TENNIS CLUB DANCE The Tennis Club held their first dance for this season on Friday 12th November in the Peria Hall. A fairly large crowd assembled, the floor was in excellent condition. Music supplied by Miss Marie Kitchen and Mr. R. Coulter left nothing to be desired. Mr. J. W. Olsen was in charge of the floor and kept things moving until the early hours of the morning. A quiz competition was won by Mrs. Harding and Mr. Clayton Rogers. Miss Panther and Mr. Terry Patton were the successful competitors in the spot waltz. The winner of the beautiful afternoon tea set wa: E. Garton of Whangarei. A dainty supper was supplied and served by lady, members of the Club. Cricket Competition The competition for a roast turke; run by thd Peria Cricket Club wa won by S. Norton, Kaitaia.
