Personal Mr. D. Gallagher of Auckland has been visiting this district on business and while in the Valley was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. E. White. Mrs. Allan White spent the weekend with Mrs. Geo. May of Cable Bay. Mr. Conway Panther returned from Auckland on Thursday for a few weeks’ stay with his parents. Conway will be returning to Auckland after Christmas -to enter Trailing College. Mesdames Alex Switzer, A. Snelgar and P. Hansen left by car on Monday for Whangarei and expect to be there for a fortnight. Mr. Cyril Switzer of Papatoetoe is visiting his mother, Mrs. M. Switzer of Mangatoitoi. Mrs. Parker of Mercer is visiting her mother, Mrs. L. Thompson. Mrs. Hilder and daughter Ilona are spending a fortnight with Mr. and Mrs. W. Panther. Miss Betty Panther is spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Owen White of Kaikohe. We are sorry to hear that Mr. Jeff Edwards is not at all well. His grand-daughter, Una, is staying with him at present. Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Parker paid a visit to Kaikohe last week. Congratulations to the Victoria Valley Institute ladies on their success at the biennial meeting held at Peria recently.
