Interesting' comparative figures for the Bay Power Board district were made in a statement of statistics at the meeting' on Tuesday. Miles of line erected in 1947 was 98, and this year 147, an increase of 50 percent. The total is now 818 miles in the Bay area. The number of distribution transformers was 742 in 1947 ; 840 in 1948. Maximum demand on the system : 1947—2856 * K.V.A. ; 1948 —3631 K.V.A. ; increase 27.1 percent. Units purchased during 1947 14,205,134 ; 1948 sumers connected totalled 3702 in 1947 and 4448 in 1948. The total number of milking motors connected at March 31 was 870, industrial horsepower 3130, ranges 1511, field pumps 540, dairy waterheaters 644, domestic and commercial water-heaters 1328.
