The Union upheld the protest but it was decided by mutual consent to replay the match at the end of the competition. A recommendation was passed that in future a Club must notify the offending team before the game instead of waiting until the outcome of the match. Any school desiring a ball should communicate with the Union Secretary. Correspondence Amongst the correspondence was a letter from the Awanui Club apologising for the behaviour of their senior team in leaving the field at Whangape recently, assuring the Union that such action was not condoned by the Club and that there would be no I further occurrence of a like unfortunate affair. A copy of the amended rules was I discussed and it was resolved to bring I these into force immediately.
