WEEKEND’S ACCIDENTS

Garry Kitchen, the four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kitchen of Victoria Valley, received severe burns when he was involved in an resident with burning petrol during the weekend. He was admitted to the Mangonui County Hospital at Kaitaia, where his condition yesterday was reported as being satisfactory. Mrs. B. H. McNamara of Ahipara suffered minor leg injuries when the car in which she was a passenger (her husband being the driver) collided with a light truck driven by Mr. S. West of Kaitaia. The accident uri Flat, about three miles north of Waipapakauri, on Saturday morning. Mr??. McNamara was admitted to the County Hospital, but was able to return home after treatment. W. Wright, a member of the Doubtless Bay Junior Football ’earn, was admitted to the Mangonui County hospital on Saturday suffering from a fractured leg. The accident occurred during the Doubtless BayTe Rarawa match played at Ahipara.
