Mr. end Mrs. W. James of Auckland have recently been staying at the Herekino hotel. Guests at the Herekino hotel lately were Mr. O’Donnel of Waipapa, Mr. Blalte of Kaikobe, Mr. Patten of Te Kuiti, and Mr. Holt of Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. J. Hughes of Auckland have lately been the ghests of Mr. and Mrs. Veitch. Mrs. Veitch travelled to Whangarei iast Friday to bring back her daughter Sonin, who is now recovering from her recent illness. Mr. I. Baker has returned to Wellington after a holiday spent in the district. Mrs. C. Powell, her three children and her mother, Mrs. Dean, left for Dargaville (Mrs. Dean’s home) on Friday. Mr. Robinson has his father visiting him. Farewell Party A number of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. Grbich last Tuesday night to bid them farewell. The evening was passed enjoyable in singing and games. Mr. and Mrs. Grbich and their daughter Gail are shortly leaving the district to make their home in Canada.
