METHODIST CHURCH SOCIAL

In pleasant weather, an enjoyable social afternoon and Sale of work was held at the Methodist Hall, Kaitaia, on Wednesday, 18th inst. Produce Work and Cake stalls were well-laden and trading was brisk. During the afternoon a coloured motion picture was screened, and a short programme of other items was enjoyed by all. The performers wA-e : Mrs. P. Stone —Organ solo; Miss D. Attwood—Vocal solo; Miss Tulloch—Recitation. Stall-holders were as follows : Mrs. J. Clarke, (produce), Mrs. R. Williams (net lie *vrk), Mesdames O. Williams and Carson (cakes), Mrs. J. T. Williams (afternoon tea). The sale was a financial success, Church funds benefitting by the substantial amount of £29.
