FAREWELL TO CPL. GEOFF GUNSON

A ferewell was given last Tuesday j evening to Mr. and Mrs. Geoff Gun- I son, who are taking up residence in j Auckland. A large number of friends i turned u pto say cheerrio, and Mr. J. ] Gill, on behalf of those present, ex- j pressed the sentiments of Awanui j people in losing two such popular j residents and wished them success in ! their new home. He then presented j them with a travelling rug and a ■ cheque. Mr Geoff Gunson suitably j responded, after those present had given a real hearty rendering of “For they are Jolly good fellows.” The ladies present were responsible for a delightful savoury supper.
