TE PI HI WOMEN’S INSTITUTE The July meeting of the Te Puhi . Women’s Institute was held in the Te Puhi hall recently. Mrs. A. Trac- j ey presided and welcomed visitors from Palmerston North, Auckland, Kaiaka and Mangatoetoe. Two new members were enrolled. The lunch was served by Mrs. A. Edwards and Mrs. Jones, being hostesses for the day. The results of the competitions were as follows: Worked Cushion Cover—Mrs. I). White and Mrs. Jones 1, Mrs. R. White 2; Flowers—Mrs. Dawson 1. Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. A. White 2. The social part of the afternoon was a bob-in and hard up parade, and competitions were won by Mrs. F. Braithwaite, Mrs. Robinson, Miss 0. Edwards and Miss E. Dawson. The raffle was won by Miss N. Brockbank, with Mrs. Dawson second. The enjoyable afternoon was closed by singing the New Zealand Anthem.
