Tdkahue School Concert
The staff of the Takahue School deserve credit for the fine performance staged by’ the school children in the Takahue Hall. Profits, which will go towards the Takahue Patriotic Quota, were about £l4. Mr. J. Stewart thanked the staff, and presented the assistant teachers, Misses Matthews and Woodall, with boxes of chocolates. After the concert programme, supper was served by the school children. Dancing was then indulged in, music being supplied by Posinkovich’s orchestra, with Misses N. Master and M. Kitchen at the piano. A Monte Carlo Waltz was won by Miss M. Kitchen and Mr. Beazley. A mere was won by Mr. E. F. Bradley, and a box of chocolates by Miss E. Jones. Mr. J. Parker was M.C. for the dance. The concert programme, which was thoroughly’ enjoyed by one of all, was as follows: All Singing—“ God of Nations,” “Deep in the Forest,” “Marching Along.” Recitation, (Legs)—Bill Warner.
