Purely Personal Mr. W. Parker is visiting Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Carstens are away on holiday. Mr. A. McL. Wright of Takahue is visiting Auckland. Mrs. R. H. Dixon and daughter are visiting Kaitaia. Private W. Busby is spending part of his leave at his home. Mr. Walter Puekey left yesterday morning to begin his annual holidays. He is visiting Whangarei. Mr. L. Puekey returned on Tuesday from an enjoyable holiday in Hawkes Bay. He was accompanied by Mr. J. Dalmon who is making a brief visit to this district. Guests at the Redan Hotel include: Dr. Parr and Mr. Swanson, School Medical officers; and the touring party of Automobile Association officers and members : Major and Mrs. North (Ceylon), Mr. F. G. Farrell (President A.A.) and Mrs. Farrell, Mr. R. E. Champtaloup (Touring Manager), Messrs. Ringer, Verrin and Anderson. Kaitaia Golf Club There was no play last Saturday on account of the weather. Tomorrow the first round for the President’s Trophy will be played. The match is decided over 36 holes medal handicap and the second and final round will be played on the following Saturday. Kaitaia Ladies’ Golf Club Following is the draw for the first round for the President’s Trophy (best aggregate, two eighteen hole rounds, Stableford Bogey) to be played on Saturday : Mrs. W.
