From Our Correspondent at Victoria Valley

Golf Club Meeting The annual meeting of the Victoria Valley Golf Club was held in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday evening of last week. A fair number of golfers were present. The president, Mr. J. E. White, was in the chair. In the absence of the secretary, Mr. L. J. Ramsey read the minutes of the last annual meeting. The treasurer then read the balance sheet which, in spite of heavy expenditure last year, showed a credit balance of £5 15/9, which was considered by the meeting to be most satisfactory. It was decided to reduce the subscriptions considerably. A start has been made to get the links in order for the coming season. The election of officers for the year was as follows ; President Mr. V. R. Beazley; Secretary and Club Captain Mr. L. J. Ramsey ; Treasurer Mrs. Ramsey; Committee—Mrs. W. A. White, D. A. White, W. G. Thompson, with the President and Secretary ; Greenskeepers —G. W. Switzer and W. A. White.
