KAITAIA DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB During the weekend the Kaitaia Rifle Club held a handicap shoot over 500 and 600 yards for a prize presented to the club. The winner on a count back was D. Waddell. The following scores were registered :
Next Sunday, October 16, the first series of the Club Championship shoots will be carried out at 500 and 600 yards, commencing at 10 a.m. Paid markers wanted. Ring D. Waddell, phone 192. TAKAHUE TENNIS CLUB’S OPENING A perfect summer’s day and a good crowd of members and visitors made the opening of the Takahue Tennis Club on Saturday last successful to the extreme. The afternoon was spent in friendly games and during an interval refreshments were served by the lady members of the club after which play was resumed till dark.
