Screening of Election Results
The Northland Age is co-operat-ing with the proprietors of the Princess theatre to provide a complete election - result service on Saturday night. The regular picture programme is being augmented with “shoi’ts” to bring the total screening time up till midnight, and at intervals during the evening slides giving progress returns of the voting throughout New Zealand will be displayed on the screen. Patrons will thus be kept right up to the minute with election information. We are also working in conjunction with the Northern Advocate to have results posted up outside the theatre, so that non-picture-goers may keep informed of how the election is going.
