OMAHUTA

Personal Mr. J. Murray of Mangamuka Bridge paid a visit to Whangarei last week-end. Mr. Campbell, Conservator of Forests, visited Omahuta last week and inspected the workings of the camp erected here. Mrs. V. A. Abraham and Mr. and Mrs. F. Imms, of Mangamuka were amongst the visitors to Auckland last week. More Building Operations Yet another dwelling is being erected on the Omahuta road. This time however, it is at the entrance, about one mile from the settlement itself. Mr. Joe Creighton is the builder. Rain, More Rain, and Mud The exceptionally unsettled conditions experienced lately have accounted for the. bogging-up of the cowsheds of several settlers. This is more noticeable round the sheds of those who are milking a big herd. Some settlers are milking as many as thirty cows at present.
