PUBLIC WORKS MINISTER’S NORTHERN TOUR
The Hon. J. Bitchener, Minister of Public Works, will make his promised visit to the North, leaving Auckland today, Thursday. On Sunday, 29th, he will leave Dargaville for Opononi by way of the Waipoua Forest. On Monday, 30th, he will leave Opononi for Kaitaia, visiting Rawene, Kaikohe, Ohaeawai, Okaihau and Mangamuka on the way north. In the evening he will meet the Mangonui County Council at Kaitaia. On Tuesday, May 1, the Minister will leave Kaitaia for Paihia, stopping at Mangonui, Kaeo and Kerikeri, On Wednesday, May 2, Kawakawa will be visited on the journey from Paihia to Whangarei.
