Personal Pars

Messrs W. Farrimond and G. Macken--41 were away on a trip South this week. Mr G. Thomas, of Katirinui, is at present seriously ill in the Kaitaia Hospital. Constable and Mrs. Bissett returned outh this week after a holiday in Kaitaia. Tlieo Berghan who met with a painful accident while playing at Mangonui is about again. Mrs. Knight senr, of Auckland, has returned home after spending a few weeks in Kaitaia. Miss J. Graeie of the Auckland Hos(ital staff is spending a holiday at her home at Pukepoto. Mr. “Sonny” Evans a one-time resident of Kaitaia, was in the district this week looking up old friends. Mrs. J. Garton, of Oruru, left on Friday morning for Whangarei, the first stage of an extended holiday in the South. Mr. J. N. Edwards has returned from Whangaroa and is spending a few days at Mangonui before returning to his home at Victoria Valley. Miss Mavis Wrathall of Mangonui who has been indisposed for a few days through an accident while ut work in Mr. McKay’s store, is now back at her post. Mrs. and Miss Halley, alter spending an extended holiday with Mr. Calligan of the Chateau, Cooper’s Beach Mangonui, left lust Monday for their home in Wellington. Mr. C. B. Micliie, Chairman of Directors of the Kaitaia Dairy Company was in the Whangarei district this week addressing meetings of dairy farmers on various aspects of the Industry.
