TAKAHUE NEWS.
GOOD WOOL CLIP AND ABUNDANT FEED. PLAY IN AID OF SCHOOL FUNDS. Shearing operations were completed last week in the Takahue district, the clip being fairly good. The wool has all left for Auckland. The pastures are all looking very well, and there is feed in abundance, with the result that the cows are milking well. The output is considerably ahead of that of last year.
A Bachelor’s Ball is to be held in the Takahue Hall to-morrow night and every preparation is being made to ensure the iunction being a success. A play entitled “On approval; or, Alone with Maria” will later be staged in the hall, the proceeds going to the Takahue school.
