WEDDING BELLS.

SWITZER-KITCHEN

A very pretty wedding, which proved one of the most popular functions ever witnessed in the district, was celebrated at the Victoria Valley Presbyterian Church last Wednesday, when Phyllis Amelia, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Kitchen, of Diggers’ Valley, was joined in holy matrimony with Stuart Weslev, voungest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Switzer, of Victoria Valley. The Rev. D. M. Martin officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in white satin and georgette with uneven hem and silver lace trimming and silver shoes, with the orthodox veil and coronet of orange blossoms. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Lila Rogers, who wore pink crepe de chine of uneven hem, with diamante and silver lace trimming and silver shoes and tulle veil.

The bride carried a very pret-tily-arranged bouquet of sweet peas and stock, while the bridesmaid’s bouquet was of sweet peas and asparagus fern. 1 he bride’s mother was dressed in navy repp, with hat to match. The bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr. Willis Switzer, as best man. After the church ceremony the wedding guests assembled at the Victoria Valiev Hall, where the reception was held. Between 200 and 250 guests were present, and the bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many presents and congratulatory messages. The bride’s travelling dress was of floral crepe de chine with ensemble coat and hat to match.
