Wedding Bells

Marston—Ryan St Saviours Church was the scene of a pretty wedding last evening when Elizabeth Adelaide May, (Dolly) youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs M Ryan of Bonnetts Road, Kaitaia, was married to Mr George William Marston of Wellington, youngest I son of Mr and Mrs T F Marston j ot Coramandel.

The Rev. Ward performed the. , ceremony and Mrs Gylnan played the wedding music. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father was daintily attired in a long sleeved gown of ivory beaute satin. 1 te full skirt was finished with beautiful hand-worked silver motifs and a large bow hung at the left side to bottom cf scalloped hem line and finished with a, diamente buckle. Her veil of ivory tulle embroidered in silver was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms and pearls, and she wore silver shoes and stockings to match, carrying a shower bouquet to tone with frock, finished with tulle bow. Miss Phyllis Masters attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of mauve crepe de chine and silver tulle lace The skirt was’ finished with side panels which hung to show the uneven hem line, while she wore a tulle cap to. tone, finished with a trail of forget-me-nots and silver ribbons She carried a bouquet of Autumn flowers to tone, finished with •tulle bow. Miss Eva May Hart who is a n.eic-e of the bride was flower gifl. She wore a frock of pale pink crepe de chine and cream lace, and a capette of tulle finished with a trail of forget-me-nots and silver ribbons. House Warming To Mr and Mrs Elliston A gay throng collected at the Wireless Quarters on Saturday evening, to tender their good wishes to Mr and Mrs Elhston, who returned to Kaitaia on Friday afternoon. Games and dancing, songs and musical items made up the evenng’s programme, and after supper, which was served by the hostess, and relations present, the company collected round the happy couple and after a short speech by Mr Munn responded to by Mr Ellisidn, they sang “For They are Jolly Good Fellows” finishing with three hearty cheers afterwhich they wended their ways homeward.
