Orange Blossoms

Bcazley—Tynan A very pretty wedding was celebrated at Raeo, Houhora, on Wednesday evening 29th August when Hazel Violet eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J Beazley of Houhora, was married to Walter Dacre, youngest son of Mr and Mrs J M Tynan of Waihopo. The officiating Minister was the Rev E Ward and Mr W Hoult presided at the Organ. The bride who was given awav by her father looked charming in a frock of cream cherille georgette trimmed with deep silver lace and insertion. Her veil was beautifully embroidered in silver and was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of spring flowers the prevailing colour being cream. She was attended by her sister Miss Ellen Beazley, as bridesmaid who wore pink and gold shot taffeta with sequin trimming and a head dress of pink tulle and gold tinsel. Her bouquet was pink and cream. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr W J Tynan. The bride’s mother received her guests gowned in French blue crepe de chine with fawn hat and carried a posy of friezias and violets.

Mrs Tynan, mother of the bridegroom, was dressed in fawn charmelaine and carried a cream posy.

The hall decorations were tastefully carried out in cream and green. With Mr C S Puckey as toastmaster the following toasts were honoured:

The King—Mr C S Puckey. The Bride and Bridegroom— Rev E Ward.

The Bridesmaid —Mr W J Tynan.

The Brides Parents —Mr C S Puckey. The Bridegroom’s Parents —Mr L Leyland. The Ladies —Mr M Thornell.

The Willing Helpers—Mr Ted Smith.

The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful pressents.

At the dance which followed, the many friends from near and far, enjoyed themselves until the early hours of the morning.
