Warning The People
Mr Munn’s Services During The Flood A Mo& Courteous Officer During the week-end when the townspeople were in beid—ol most of them—people in the outlying districts advised Mr Munn our popular postmaster of the flooded streams and of the possibility of the town being submerged. Mr Munn, although not called upon to do so sat up practically all night ringing householder after householder advising that there was every possibility of the locality being endangered by flood. These good offices are appreciated as they should be and we make mention of it in order that the public might in future more readily realise their indebtedness to Mr Munn in such circumstances. Having so courteous and obliging an officer to serve the community, the people of the district are indeed most fortunate. We give publicity to these sentiments because we consider the compliment well merited.
