Appreciation.

Colonel Bell’s Good Offices. When the Editor of the Northland Age was in Wellington last week he met Colonel Bell, M.P., in the House of Representatives, ana asked the Colonel to secure interviews for him with different ministers of the Crown. Colonei Bell arranged all the appointments and the Editor of the Age takes this opportunity of publicly expressing his appreciation of the courtesy shown him by the member for the district. These interviews could easily have been secured without the Colonel’s assistance but it would have been an act of discourtesy to Colonel Bell to have gone past him. There are many members of Parliament who do not take the trouble to consider requirements by residents from their electorate when they visit Wellington, but this cannot be said ot Colonel Bell, M.P., who leaves nothing undone to heip a constituent to meet ministers. This tribute is due to him.
