Xmas and the Children.
It is so hard to give children treats in these days of movies and money, that one has to rack one’s brains exceedingly to think up even a variation of the same form or entertainment. Xmas trees, however, still have their old facination and bright lights, gay wrappings for gifts thereon, and a jovial Santa Claus, are ever a thrill. Get a rimu tree, set it in a tub of saud if possible, decorate it with tiny electric bulbs and sparkling ornaments, and encoutage the children to make gifts for small friends and for their grown up ones as well. A (roup of da.nty fairies to distribute the gifts and plenty of wrappings make the occasion festive. Sweets done in fancy packages, locking like bananas, cats, pigs, etc., can be made and packed at home with little trouble. End your little party with a romp and you will make yourself a memory that will last. Of course you will have to be very much in evidence just at first until things are in full swing and tun you may just quietly leave tV rest to the people until it is time to call a halt.
