Private Traders Protest Public Trust Criticised The Associated Chambers of Commerce, in conference, carried th - following resolution : —■ “That this conference deplores the huge increase in unfair State ar.d bureaucratic interference in private enterprise, and resolves to use its influence to obtain the repeal of such legislation as curtails and interferes with legitimate trading. Strong criticism of the business activities of Government was voiced by speakers. The Public Trust Office came in for particular attention.
