The cast for Mary Pickford's latest United Artists’ production, “Rosita”, showing on the above date, embodies a collection of stage and screen stars such as has never been seen before in support of this world famous star. Miss Bickford, in the role of Rosita, portrays a character which is a .distinct departure from any impersonation heretofore attempted by her. Rosita while the main character in the story is not one equally accepted for starring purposes. And the supporting characters being of such great importance to the story an allstar cast of principals will be seen in these roles. The new Pickford offering is said to be the most pretentious of her career. The story deals with the adventures of a little street singer who lias thrust upon her the love of a king. Miss Pickford is seen 111 a very emotional role and rises to greater dramatic heights in this vehicle than in anything she has ever before attempted. Those who view “Rosita” will see a new Mary Pickford. “THE BUSTER.” An unusual Western melodrama is •‘The Buster,” the William Fox production with Dustin Farnum in the starring role, which come on the 28th inst. Immediately after the opening scenes tile action begins, and the suspense and absorbing interest is manifested through the entire length of the feature. “The Buster” is one of ihe most engrossing stories laid in the Western atmosphere that has come to this town tor many months. The photography is superb, and all the richness and beauty of the wide stretches of open country arc reproduced with an elegance of workmanship. Ideally balanced, and splendidly conducted, the Northland Orchestra, with its hne selections, has become part of the attraction at Northland Pictures. Such a musical combination tends to the greater enjoyment of pictures shown, and the management is to be commended for providing such first-class music.
