AND AGAIN IT’S KAITAIA.

We extend our hearty congratulations to Mr. W. G. King, manager of the Kaitaia Dairy Co., and his staff on their achievement in winning the Weddel Cup, which coveted trophy is given to the factory which obtains the highest average grade for the season in the Auckland Province. It will ba remembered that Mr. King secured the Gold Medal at the Panama Exposition in 1914, and three first prizes, and also the Championship of the Auckland Province and Gold Medal at the Waikato Winter Show in 1916. The achievement is the more meritorious in that Mr. King has to deal with Scream obtained in many instances from long distances, and which of necessity is not of the same high quality of that secured close to the factory. Two gold, medals, three first prizes, the Championship of the Auckland Province, and the Weddel Cup, all won during the six years of Mr. King’s sojourn in Kaitaia is surely a record to be proud of, a record which places him in the front rank amongst factory managers in this Dominion. In passing it is interesting to note that Mr. King was the runner-up in the Weddel Cup competition last year, and that the Cup was won this year with 93.57 points the highest score with which this trophy has yet been won in the Auckland Province.
