The President of the Auckland bran l h of the Navy League (Captain E. J. Thomas) at a special meeting of the executive, tendered his resignaton on tie ground of indisposition. The resignati on was refused by the members, who unanimously granted him leave of absence lor two or three months. Mr. A. G. Lu in consented to act as President, during tie absence of Captain Thomas, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr R. T.
