Awanui Post Office.
Mr. Yornon Reed, M.P., has received the following letter from the PoitmasterGeneral in referenoo to the ersotion of a new post offloe at Awanui: — G.P.0., Wellington, 29feh January, 1912. Sir, —In reference to your letter of 16th May of last year, forwarding a petition from Mr. J. W. Dykins and others for the ereotion of a new post offioe building at Awanui: I have the honour to inform you that the Department is now arranging to pmchase land and buildings in the main street at Awanui for the establishment of a post offioe.—l have the honour, etc., J. CARROLL, p Postmastor-General.
