Cricket.

Victoria Valley v. Herekino. The above cricket match was played on the Herekino Cricket ground on December Bth and resulted in a win for the Valley Club by an innings and 34 runs. Misfortune appeared to prevail among the Herekino batsman, many of whom were responsible for pulling the ball on. The break bowling of R. Keay appeared to somewhat disconcert some of the Valley batsmen, but by the forcing tactics adopted by the latter end of the team a decided issue was manifested. An excellent luncheon was provided by Mrs. Bowman. The scores of the match were as follows: Herekino. —Ist Innings. T, Keay, b G. Thompson 22 R. Keay, b G. Thompson. 0 J. Keay, c Dawson b G.
