She stocks the best of wines and spirits. Visitors will find “good cheer” at Mn. Berghan's Mangonui hotel during the Christmas holidays. The energetic landlady has made good preparations for the festive season. “ Old Joe’s ” at Waipapakauri always contains something gratifying and satisfying, and things will hum right merrily this Xmas. Likewise Houhora hotel, where the young Joe has charge. “ Charlie ” Molloy, of the Kaitaia hotel, has just landed a heavy stock of wines and spirits for the Xmas trade, and the usual bottled beer—real thirst ♦ quenchers. you a right royal welcome should you chance his way. Just drop in to his hostelry, and enjoyment is assured. “Charlie” Reinhardt at Mangonui maintains his stock of draught and bottled beer, spirits, etc. —not a headache in a hogshead of it. The Duke of Marlborough at Russell affords every accommodation, and there’s no more pleasant spot anywhere to spend a holiday than the little town that flies the shingle of the popular “ Dave.” Tourists come and tourists go. but they generally long to get back to Whangaroa at the first opportunity. Host Gothard knows how to treat visitors right royally, and the liquor he dispenses is of the best.

The N.B.S. Company are issuing cheap fares for the holidays. Particulars on application to the agents. Too late to order your Xmas suit ? Then order one for the New Year, from Mr. W.
