Aliens and the Reserves.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Buster Brown’s” remarks on the above subject have a ring of common sense in them, but bis proposed method of catching the aliens in the act of trespassing I don’t exactly agree with. What the diggers would like to do is to the Banger along with them and catch the miscreants red-handed. The Banger’s word would naturally carry more weight than the testimony of apparently prejudiced diggers. But then we would like to know if there is any gum ranger ? Constable Henpr held the position, hut we don’t know if any successor has been appointed to the job. Perhaps "Buster Brown” or someone else will enlighten us on the point P Yours truly, ANOTHER DIGGER.
