Purchase of a Gunboat.
“Richard John Seddon.” WELLINGTON, Tq-day. Negotiations have just closed with the Admirality for the purchase outright of the gunboat Sparrow. The Premier states that no time will he lost in putting the vessel into commission for training purposes. The Sparrow will be reeliristened “ Richard John Seddon.”
