ANOTHER FLESHPOT.

A gentleman of the name of Edwin, holding the rank of Brevet Commander in the Eoyal Navy, and who is connected, or about to be connected by marriage with a member of the Government, has had the office created for him in the Marine Department, of " Examiner of Masters and Mates," with a salary of £300 a-year. The duties to devolve on Captain Edwin have hitherto been very efficiently performed by Captain Johnson, of the Marine Department, with some assistance, without costing Lhe colony a farthiug.
